This Privacy Policy explains how MUZA TECHNOLOGIES s.r.o., a limited liability company (s.r.o.) incorporated under the laws of the Czech Republic, with its registered office at Kaprova 42/14, 110 00 Praha 1, Czech Republic (“Muza Technologies”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and protects personal data. We act as a data controller within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”) and Czech Act No. 110/2019 Coll., on the processing of personal data.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to personal data we process when you:
- visit or interact with this website (muza-technologies.com);
- contact us or engage us as a business client or partner; or
- use a mobile application published by us on the Apple App Store or Google Play (each such app may also have its own in-app privacy notice, which prevails for that app).
2. Personal Data We Process
Website visitors
Basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) processed to operate and secure the website. We keep cookies and analytics to what is strictly necessary or consented to (see Section 6).
Business clients & partners
Contact and business details you provide (name, email, company, and information exchanged in the course of an engagement) processed to communicate, prepare proposals, perform contracts and meet legal obligations.
Users of apps we publish
Where we publish apps, we seek to minimise personal data. Typically this is limited to technical identifiers needed to deliver and stabilise the service, processed on the basis described in the relevant app’s in-app privacy notice. Purchases are handled by Apple or Google — we do not receive or store your full payment card details.
3. Legal Bases (GDPR Article 6)
- Performance of a contract — to provide our services and operate our apps;
- Legitimate interests — to secure our systems, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve our services (balanced against your rights);
- Consent — for non-essential cookies and optional communications (you may withdraw consent at any time);
- Legal obligation — to comply with accounting, tax and other statutory duties.
4. How We Use Personal Data
- To provide, maintain and secure our website, services and apps;
- To respond to enquiries and manage client relationships;
- To comply with legal, accounting and regulatory requirements;
- To detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse or security incidents.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Sharing and Processors
We share personal data only where necessary, with:
- Service providers (processors) such as cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, which process data solely on our behalf under written data-processing agreements;
- App distribution platforms — Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) — which act as independent controllers for account, distribution and payment functions under their own privacy policies;
- Authorities, where required by law or to protect our rights.
6. Cookies and Analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the website. Any analytics or non-essential cookies are used only with your consent, which you can manage or withdraw in your browser settings. We do not use advertising SDKs on this website.
7. International Transfers
Your data is primarily processed within the European Economic Area (EEA). Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, we rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law (for example, statutory retention of invoices and accounting records). When no longer required, data is deleted or anonymised.
9. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@muza-technologies.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech supervisory authority: Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (Office for Personal Data Protection), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, Czech Republic — www.uoou.gov.cz.
11. Children
Our website and services are directed to businesses and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Apps we publish state their own minimum age in the applicable store listing and in-app notice.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with its “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated through appropriate channels where required.
